HELP in Trouble

Gen. Deborah Green

P RAISE GOD. Welcome to Battle Cry Sounding/Battle Cry Pounding, yes, God is moving. And yes, we can move with God if we stay in tune with God and if we stay in cooperation with God—because it is God who desires that His people would be one with Him.

We’re not supposed to be living way over somewhere and God way over in another place, but we’re supposed to be one in spiritual union with our God: ever going forward in the truth and the light that He does provide.

Now, we’re going to be reading today out of psalm 46. And this is a really very good psalm; all of the psalms are good, but this one is a good reminder to us of who it is that we should look to, and who it is that we should call upon, who it is that we should cry unto.

Now, beginning here in verse 1, reading out of the Amplified version, it says, “GOD IS our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble.” And that is the name of today’s message: “HELP IN TROUBLE.”

You say, “Well, what are you bringing up that for? We don’t have any troubles; we’re doing just fine.” Well, recently, in the last several months, there has been a terrific, shall we say, falling away, but I think it was already in the making, because three of the giants of Protestantism of the charismatic renewal persuasion have given their allegiance to pope Francis. And they have made an allegiance by visiting the Vatican and having a council with him. Those people are Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, and Kenneth Copeland.

So, these three defectors, but you can’t even really say they were defectors because they’re fakes and imposters anyway. But nonetheless, they represent to the American public the mainstream of charismatic Christianity, and they have journeyed to Rome and made a council with the pope who is in a great deal of trouble, apparently, with the UN because of the child-molestation that has taken place in the Catholic church, and some of which he’s been involved in personally.

So, he’s reaching out to gather in whoever he can to keep him in his position and support him. So, we see that yeah, that is trouble. That is trouble in the sense that many people believe that the last war is going to be a religious war and that we’re going to come under One-World-Religion. And of course, if there’s any truth to that, if there’s any validity there, then you can see that the Catholic monster is already mapping out its strategies.

And this particular pope, by the way, was trained in the Jesuit order, and their goal is to defend the church and even take it as far as WAR if they need to—in order that the church will always be prevailing. So, they’re definitely not faithful to God, but they’re faithful to the harlot covering of the Catholic church.

So, when he is bringing these other Protestant whores, e.g. Osteen, Warren, and Copeland under the skirts of the Catholic whore, that is a promotion of an attempt to take over. In other words, that is it in the small stage, but it is still that same force wanting to rise to the forefront in the earth once again. Because at one time in history, for many centuries, the Catholic church was ‘the only’ church, and it was a prevailing force, a conquering force, and a very dogmatic force that even put people to death for opposition to it.

And it has had a long history of corruption, wickedness, and all kinds of perversion. They say that about 80% of existing priests are homosexual, so that is insane. HERE IS A WHOLE RELIGIOUS ESTABLISHMENT RUN BY A HIDDEN HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA. See, they have a homosexual agenda too. It’s just been hidden. So, we see that it is a force of perversion, it is a force of child abuse and molestation, and it is a force that conquers no matter what it has to do against its enemies.

So, we see that these Protestant whores who have made their way over there to bow at the feet of the great whore are just a reflection of the trouble that we are in. So, are we in times of trouble? Yes—because there’s trouble on every hand. And the true believers are few and far between—the ones who really REMEMBER what it is that the Word says about the Gospel, what it says about the standard of God, and what we’re supposed to adhere to and believe in.

Now, as I have said in previous messages, and I will repeat it again because I believe it is a great error that has crept in, that more and MORE PEOPLE ARE GRAVITATING TO THE DEMONIC CALL TO QUIT READING THE BIBLE—ABANDONING THE BIBLE, AND FOLLOWING THE ‘SPIRIT’ ONLY.

Well, I’ll tell you one thing, if you don’t measure up the inclinations that you think you have in the spirit with the Word of God, you can be led right into a ditch, because there are seducing spirits that can come into your life, and imitate God, and lead you right along the yellow brick road to the ditch that you will end in if you keep following that way. And I believe that this trend and this demonic input to quit reading the Bible is nothing more than a part of the apostasy that is prevailing in these times.

In other words, it is a way to get men, to get women, to DEPART from the standard of God, and go off following the ‘spirit,’ and end up in a new- age heap of disaster. Why? Because it is departure from the Word and the way of the Living God. Amen.

So, going on here in psalm 46, after we see that the psalmist is declaring that: “God is our refuge and strength,” and it says that He is: “[mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble.”So, when we look at all these things that are transpiring, we do not need to collapse in fear of what’s coming upon the earth, but we need to look to God. We need to find our refuge in God. We need to be strengthened in God, and we need to be focused upon the Living God, realizing that it is Him, and Him alone, who will take us forward, and who will KEEP US in the times that we are in.

So, going onward, it says, “Therefore we will not fear…” So, the psalmist is making his resolution— “We will not fear!” Now, it doesn’t mean that he was living in good times. It doesn’t mean that he had his security systems all in place. It doesn’t mean that he had plenty of plastic in his billfold. As a side note, did you know that they don’t even have billfolds anymore. They just have plastic carriers? But anyway. I’m from another century—back when they had billfolds, but that’s back when people had real money.

Someone was telling me that they put a new line on the 100 dollar bills, a new dark strip so they could stop those “counterfeiters.” And I said, “Isn’t that hilarious: the government’s the biggest counterfeiter of all.” That’s all a part of the times of trouble: counterfeit governments.

But anyway, we have counterfeit religion, we have a counterfeit Jesus, we definitely have a counterfeit president, and we have counterfeit money. So, we’d better strive to be real with the Living God. At least GOD IS ALIVE, HE’S REAL, AND HE’S EVER-PRESENT. Amen.

So, going on it says, “Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, and though the mountains be shaken into the midst of the seas…” So what is he saying? He’s saying: “Even if this whole world is to be turned upside down and the mountains come down and fall into the sea, we will not fear.”

Now, that’s a pretty brave statement. How many of you can say that you feel THAT confident? Oh, I can see hands going up everywhere, back there in the balcony, over there in the wings: all of these hands of bravery and confidence. But, the psalmist is making that declaration. Why? Because he is speaking forth in faith in God.

Did you know when we speak forth in faith in God that some of those declarations will sound quite outlandish to the carnal man? “Well, I’ll never be afraid—even if the whole world, the whole earth collapses, I won’t be afraid.” That sounds outlandish. But yet, you see, if his security is in God, and if he truly looks to God, as what he said in the beginning, as his refuge, and his strength, and his help in trouble, then even that kind of trouble is not going to phase him whereby he’s living in fear.

Now, WE NEED TO DEVELOP IN OUR CONFIDENCE IN GOD. And you know, a lot of times we go through things in this life, and we wonder : “[Moooaaan,] why did this have to happen to me?” You know, we don’t want, of our own selves, in our natural state, we don’t want to grow. We’d rather be these big, old, fat babies sitting up in the crib, in the playpen, and letting everything be taken care of by a higher source, and us just stay there and lay there.

But God wants us to develop. He wants us to mature. He wants us to be sure of who it is that we serve, and be confident in Him. Therefore, God allows these troubles, these calamities, these disasters, these hard times to be made known to us, and even sometimes we will experience those things. Why? Because He wants us to grow in our confidence in Him.

Now, if I was planted in a little flower pot and this thing was real small, I could never grow beyond a certain point because I would be what they call “rootbound.” I would be rootbound—my roots couldn’t spread out and my upper parts couldn’t come out bigger and more increased because I was rootbound.

Now, we have, on this property an apple tree. They call them Columnar Trees because they are supposed to grow straight up and not take up a bunch of space, but produce apples. Well, we bought several of these trees at the time that we got them, and I must say that several of them have, over the years, had some apples. I mean sometimes they’ll have one apple; sometimes they’ll have 100 apples. You know, we don’t keep count when the good years come, but when the bad years are here, “Oh good, we got 3 apples off that tree;” you know, only 500 gallons of water, but isn’t it great? Yeah, there’s nothing like these worm-infested apples you grow your own.

But, this one particular tree, it is about a foot tall, it’s still in a little confinement-like thing that it came in, and it has never, ever, ever grown. It’s still the same tree. It’s not dead, but it’s not maturing. It’s not flourishing. It’s not withering and dying—even though I’ve wished it would do just that sometimes because it’s so useless. But, it has remained the same.

And my belief is there must be something lodged against it, like perhaps soil that’s so thick that the roots can’t penetrate it, but it won’t grow, and it sets there year after year. And when you take a walk, you can see it; there it is, the lone tree, or I should say the lone bush that’s supposed to be an apple tree. And that’s a projection of what can happen to us if we don’t take the things that God puts in our lives to make us grow.

In other words, if we just refuse to come out of our little cup that we’re in, and let God expand us, expand our roots, expand our growth and our development, that is exactly how we can remain. And I think that tree is a sign of retardation because this thing is NOT GROWING, and we have probably had those trees easily 10 years, or more. So, it should have already been grown up and bearing apples. Amen.

So, that’s what can happen to us if we don’t accept the trials that God puts before us and FIND the portion of God we are meant to find in Him: because in everything that we go through, there is a portion of God that we are meant to gain from that—if we are seeking the Lord, seeking to be pleasing the Lord.

Now, I know sinners have troubles every day, and they’re not gaining anything in God from those troubles. But, if you’re living godly in Christ Jesus, in everything that we go through, number one, we’re supposed to go through it with the Lord. We’re supposed to look to the Lord, and believe and trust in the Lord, and we are meant to gain a portion of the Lord through that.

Now, sometimes we can have a great sorrow in our life, and we can cry out to God, and the Lord will say quite simply: “Oh, now you are acquainted with my sufferings. Now you know how I feel, now you know what’s been done to me and is done to me every day by my very own people.”

So, we can’t reject those things. We can’t say, “Well, I’m going to live happily ever after and have my little life, and you’re not going to bother it because I think God wants me to be happy.” No, God wants us to be in Him. And God has moods. His mood is not always eternal happiness.

Doesn’t that sound like a Chinese proverb that you get on your fortune cookie?—“You will have eternal happiness.” No, you will have ETERNAL DAMNATION, China-sage, because there’s only one way that we’re given salvation, and it’s not through a fortune cookie. It’s through the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. I haven’t had a fortune cookie in years. I guess it’s like visiting a soothsayer.

Ok, then it’s talking still about the earth in verse 3, and it says, “Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling and tumult. There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.”

So, what is it saying? It’s saying that: “Even though all this is happening, there’s still the city of the Living God.” We could say, “Oh, that’s just a reference to old Jerusalem.” Well, I have news for you: there’s a NEW Jerusalem, and that is where God’s people who are abiding ever-presently in Him live—the citizens of that New Jerusalem.

Now, a lot of people think, “Well, it’s all in the restoration of the natural Jews, and seeing all nations come into Jerusalem.” Hey, if you want to go into that war-torn disaster, go for it! But, I’m believing God for the New Jerusalem—the heavenly Jerusalem—because that place, from what I hear, is completely cursed with sin, we know that it’s vexed by war and terrorism every single day. We know that it’s continual unrest and upheaval, and we also know that it’s full of people claiming to be Jews that aren’t even Jews, so they’re imposters.

So, we can’t look back and say, “Well, we’re going to bring all that back;” we have to look at what God is doing right now! And God does have His heavenly city, His heavenly Jerusalem.

So, what is he saying here? It’s that, “There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.” Then it says: “God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God will help her right early [at the dawn of the morning].” So, he’s saying: “Hey, help will be for His own people.” The people of God will receive the help of God.

Now, you can’t expect God to be giving His assistance to the God-haters, to the ones who are the enemies of God, to the ones who despise God. And yet, you know, we have seen the ignorance of the so-called ‘Christians’ in this generation. Because when God has sent disasters upon the earth, and upon this nation, to penetrate the thick, stubborn, proud fools, and let them see He’s sorely displeased with their sinful behavior, it’s been the so-called Christians who have ran to the assistance of the ones who were meant to endure their judgment to find out that they NEEDED REPENTANCE. But, the Christians have ran there to tell them, “Oh, God didn’t do this. God loves you. God would never do this. God loves you.”

All of a sudden, the Christians are claiming that the devil has control of the weather, that the devil has control of the sea that rushed in to that whole east coast shoreline and destroyed things left and right, that the devil all of a sudden had that power. And when you see these tornadoes, and they just take whole portions of cities, and leave them in heaps of ruination, that all of a sudden, it’s the devil that has that great power, and earthquakes that devastate and overwhelm, and tsunamis that sweep in, and thousands of homes and lives are lost, and all of a sudden: “Don’t worry, God would never do this. God loves you.”

YOU KNOW, PEOPLE ARE REALLY FAR FROM GOD. I’M TALKING ABOUT GOD’S PEOPLE. And they’re misrepresenting God to the sinners who are lost, and dying, and perishing. You know, that’s a sin before God—when God is bringing His judgments, we need to recognize His wrath, and we need to let people know: “His wrath will only increase if you do not repent—because of your sin, because of your stubbornness, your pride, your hard-headedness. It is God who brings these things,” and not live in this delusional concept that “God is delusional love.”

Did you know we have an imitation now in this land called “delusional love.” That’s what God called it: “Delusional love,” whereby they think God is so permissive and so accepting of their sin, that He will love them no matter what they do. There’re people I know, right now, that live in a delusional love bubble day in and day out. They think they can sin, they think they can drink, they think they can fornicate, they think they can use drugs, and be a porn-addict, do all those things, and God still loves them.

If they were to die, they would perish in their sins. That’s how much God loves them, enough to punish them for eternity. God is just. Men are unjust; God is just. So, in all these confusions that present themselves as God, let us grab hold of the true God, the Living God, the God who remains eternal forever, the One we can look to and believe in, the One who is our help in trouble. Now, the truth of it is, if you are living in this land of America, there’s trouble everyday, there’s trouble on every hand, and there’s trouble of darkness, and evil, and iniquity in the most high places. So, we cannot trust in the government; we cannot trust in the strength of the nation.

What strength does the backslidden whore, full of the cankers of her own transgressions, have in the face of darkness? None, because she is darkness, and that’s what’s happened to America—she’s become darkness, she’s become evil, and she’s become iniquity. And the church has led the way. Isn’t that wonderful?

And we have such ‘wise’ spiritual leaders such as Rick the Trick leading people into a MARRIAGE between Christianity and Islam. Are you coming to the wedding? Oh, that’s minor stuff. There’s even a bigger wedding being planned, and that’s when all the whorish Protestants marry the pope, and return to the mother of harlots.

So yeah, there’s trouble, but thank God we have the Living God to look to. Thank God we do not have to look to the harlotrous leaders of transgression who are leading God’s people into a ditch, that we don’t have to look to them, but we can look to the Living God, that we can LOOK TO THE LIVING GOD—that we do not need to make flesh our arm, but we can trust in, rely on, and look to Him, the ONE true God who is able. Now, going on here, it says, and this is talking about what is going on then and now. That’s one thing beautiful about the Word of God—it’s omnipresent: it’s then, and it’s now. It says, “The nations raged.” Aren’t we seeing that now?—nations raging one against another, and the demonic nations RAGING against the people of God.

My husband was telling me that he was reading something, and they were saying, “Satanism is the newest religion on the rise” like it’s really the up and coming. Well, a few years ago, it was Wiccan, but now it’s Satanism; what’s it going to be next? Why? BECAUSE THE CHURCH IS POWERLESS because the witness has fallen in the streets, because none are living out the Gospel as they should be. No wonder God is giving a call to Repentance Revolution: this place is in trouble with God.

“The nations raged, the kingdoms tottered and were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge (our Fortress and High Tower). Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has wrought desolations and wonders in the earth.”

Now, you know, I heard from someone yesterday, and they were saying: “The Lord never brings bad things, and the Lord never brings any kind of punishment, and the Lord never brings aggressiveness for His own people.” And I thought, “Coo-Koo!” This was from some young woman, or young girl: 14 years old, a straight A student, and had never been spanked.

I thought, “Well, that’s great. Live in your bubble, but God does bring those things.” It says right here: “The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge (our Fortress and High Tower)…” IF we’re abiding in God. And then it says: “Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has wrought desolations and wonders in the earth.” God brings, as He told us before: “Wondrous miracles of wrath.”

He brings wondrous miracles of wrath that no corps of engineers, army engineers, or even civil engineers could figure out how to effectuate such a thing, and God does it. And that is God who is bringing desolations and wonders of His wrath to demonstrate His sore displeasure.

Then going on, it says: “He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow into pieces and snaps the spear in two; He burns the chariots in the fire.” So, what is it saying? “Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth!” Then it goes on to say: “The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge (our High Tower and Stronghold).”

So, what do we see? We see that God starts out to be our refuge, our help in time of trouble, and God continues to be our refuge and our help in time of trouble. Does that mean that the troubles go away, that all of a sudden they dissipate and are no more, or does that mean that we FIND our refuge, and our help in God?

Now, that is what God wants us to understand, and I’m going to tell you the truth, we will either understand that and live in that in the times that we are in—which are troublesome times—or, we will live in fear, in doubt, and in unbelief, and continual accusation against God because our picket fence is gone, and our little lovely home is gone, and our lovely little children have turned into demons, and are turning us in to the FBI, and on, and on, and on it goes. WE WILL EITHER LIVE IN THAT SPHERE, OR WE WILL LIVE IN THE PRESENCE OF THE LIVING GOD BECAUSE HE IS OUR HELP IN TROUBLE. Amen.
